JHE & Partners are delighted to be working with a family run business in Halifax, Elland as they look to recruit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join them on a permanent basis. My client will also consider somebody wanting part time hours, ideally looking from anything from 30+ however they are flexible.

This position is fully office based 5 days a week Monday-Friday working 9-5 with a 30-minute lunch. My client will also consider someone who has worked in an administrative position who is willing to learn and be fully trained.

Reporting into a knowledgeable and supportive Accounts Manager and working in a small finance team, my client is looking for a candidate with excellent purchase ledger experience and somebody who is resilient.

Purchase Ledger Duties:

  • 2+ years working in purchase ledger

  • Ensure all purchase invoices are accurately entered into the system

  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure that all documentation is adhered to

  • Processing purchase orders on their systems

  • Reconcile month-end statements and outstanding purchase orders

  • Assist with month end

  • Deal with payment queries in a prompt manner

  • Excellent telephone manner

  • Support the finance team with wider administrative tasks including data entry and clerical duties
