JHE Partners are pleased to be working with a lovely business in Shipley who are looking for a payroll and pension clerk on a permanent, part time basis. Working 30 hours per week and reporting into the financial controller, this is a lovely role for a payroll professional overseeing the large payroll and multiple pension providers.

Working alongside a payroll administrator, the chosen candidate will be required to deliver accurate, efficient, and compliant payroll and pension service ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time taking ownership of the payroll function.

Duties include:

  • Input payroll information onto the system, including setting up new employees and processing standing data changes.
  • Maintain sickness records and calculations for both college Sick pay and Statutory Sick pay, consulting with the HR team as appropriate.
  • Ensure effective management of payroll deadlines in conjunction with the Finance Officer.
  • Supervise and support the Payroll Assistant.
  • Ensure all monthly payments and data submissions are correctly made to HMRC and pension schemes.
  • Complete pension records recording changes to staff with the chosen pension schemes.
  • Ensure the business is compliant with Auto enrolment and re-enrolment requirements.
  • Maintain and keep abreast of all new payroll legislation.
