JHE & Partners are pleased to be working with a very successful company in Halifax who are seeking a Management Accountant to join their organisation on a permanent basis.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with senior management and operational teams to provide strategic financial insights, support decision-making processes, and drive financial performance. The successful candidate will also be heavily involved with the production of the monthly management accounts pack, working closely with the Financial Controller. This role will be perfect for a management accountant who is looking to utilise their full skillset, and gain exposure to all areas of finance, whilst working within a sizeable and growing business with a proven track record.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in the production of monthly management accounts pack
- P&L, Balance sheet and cashflow forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts
- VAT returns
- Reconcile monthly intercompany balances
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for optimisation.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations
- Provide insights on financial performance, highlighting risks and opportunities to enhance business decision-making
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment of financial objectives
- Organise and prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in management accounts
- Ideally Qualified or Part-Qualified and working towards CIMA/ ACCA
- Proven ability to produce a set of monthly management accounts
- Manufacturing experience would be ideal
- Excellent analysis skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of conveying technical information clearly
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Knowledge of Excel & IT systems relevant to finance functions is desirable.
