Overview
JHE & Partners are delighted to be working with an established business in Baildon who are looking to recruit an accounts assistant on a permanent basis. The company has strong growth plans over the next five years and is expanding its headcount. This is a genuine opportunity open to a range of candidates with varying experience, offering potential for progression. The finance manager is open to candidates with transactional experience or those with stronger accounts experience seeking a varied and stable role.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for working with the transactional accounts team including purchase and sales ledger
- Reconciling bank accounts and cash book
- Preparing management accounts including balance sheet, P&L and cashflow forecasting (DOE)
- Ensuring fixed asset register is up to date
- Processing monthly payroll on Sage
- Deal with an array of queries
- Paying supplier invoices
- Ad hoc accounts admin duties
Qualifications
- All candidates will have good IT / systems knowledge with a genuine desire to build on their current skillset
- The finance manager is happy to pass on wider accounts duties over time, once up to speed
- There is extensive training and support given, working in a very close-knit finance team
- Those studying AAT or qualified by experience are encouraged to apply
Benefits
The role is 100% office based.
Salary on offer is in the region of £28,000 – £35,000, dependent on experience. Wider package includes matched pension to 5%, 25 days holiday, death in service, private medical, cycle to work scheme, free parking and study support.
