4-week assignment initially | Part-time | Hybrid working
We're working with a well-established organisation looking for a Temporary People Advisor to provide additional support to their People Team for an initial period of around four weeks, with the potential to extend.
This is a varied opportunity for someone with HR experience who enjoys supporting managers and colleagues across a range of people-related matters. Experience in employee relations casework would be particularly useful, although the client is open to considering candidates with a broad HR background and some relevant casework exposure.
The role:
- Supporting day-to-day employee relations casework, including absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance-related matters.
- Providing advice and guidance to managers and colleagues, escalating more complex or sensitive issues where needed.
- Supporting the rollout of colleague induction and helping improve the onboarding experience.
- Assisting with probation and performance review processes, ensuring forms and procedures are being followed.
- Supporting equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives, including e-learning, training and survey completion.
- Providing general support to the People Team as required.
About you:
- Previous experience in an HR or People role, ideally with some exposure to employee relations casework.
- An understanding of performance management and employee lifecycle processes.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with good attention to detail.
- Able to manage competing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and flexible approach, with the confidence to work with a range of managers and colleagues.
Hours and working arrangements:
- 21 hours per week.
- Hybrid working, 1-2 days per week from home.
- Initial four-week assignment, with potential for extension.
This would suit someone available at short notice who can provide practical support to a busy People Team and get stuck into a varied workload.
