We are recruiting on behalf of a Top 10 UK Accounting Firm on the hunt for a Fully Qualified Tax Senior/Manager to join their ever-growing team. They are open to candidates for offices across the UK, but their hub is based in Central London. Salary is very much dependent on your experience.

The Role

As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will provide a range of tax services and business advice to a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from small, fast-growing enterprises to large corporate entities. Because our clients span multiple industries, exposure to various sectors is a distinct advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance Management: Oversee the tax compliance process for a varied corporate client portfolio, liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and collaborating with internal departments to ensure all HMRC deadlines are met.
  • Advisory Services: Assist Partners and Directors in delivering high-value tax advisory projects. You will have the opportunity to either lead or play a significant role in these projects, leveraging our excellent client base.
  • Niche Development: We actively encourage our tax team to develop specific tax planning specialisms, allowing you to establish your own niche while delivering high-quality advice to our clients.
  • Portfolio Financials: Take responsibility for managing the work-in-progress (WIP) and billing associated with your assigned portfolio.
  • Team Leadership: Coach, mentor, and manage junior members of the corporate tax team, fostering their professional growth.

Skills & Experience

We are seeking a proactive self-starter who thrives in a busy, dynamic environment. To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Portfolio Experience: Proven experience managing a portfolio of corporate tax compliance cases for clients of varying sizes and complexities across different industry sectors.
  • Advisory Exposure: Ability to handle or actively contribute to tax advisory work. Experience in any of the following areas is highly desirable: Share Option schemes (including EMI), Corporate restructuring (including preparing clearances to HMRC), R&D tax credit claims, Corporate Interest Restriction advice, Tax due diligence and M&A tax support.
  • People Management: Demonstrated experience coaching junior team members and the confidence to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Financial Acumen: Practical experience managing billing and WIP for a client portfolio.
  • Mindset: A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and a 'can-do' attitude.
