About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sales Market Valuer to join our growing team. This is a key role where you will be responsible for generating new business, conducting market appraisals, and securing instructions for residential sales. You will act as the face of the business for many of our clients, building strong relationships and ensuring our vendors receive an exceptional service from valuation through to completion.
Responsibilities
- Attend market appraisals and provide accurate property valuations supported by local knowledge and market data.
- Convert valuations into instructions by building trust and demonstrating expertise.
- Carry out full property measure-ups, prepare detailed property descriptions, and take high-quality photographs to ensure listings are market-ready.
- Prepare and present professional valuation packs and winning proposals.
- Manage vendor relationships throughout the sales process, ensuring clear and regular communication.
- Work closely with the sales team to maximise marketing exposure and achieve the best possible sale price for clients.
- Keep up to date with current market conditions, competitor activity, and local housing trends.
- Generate new business opportunities through canvassing, referrals, networking, and maintaining strong local presence.
- Ensure compliance with AML, CPRs, and data protection at all times.
- Contribute to branch KPIs and business growth targets.
About You (Essential)
- Proven experience as a Valuer / Lister in a residential estate agency.
- Track record of securing new instructions and meeting targets.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to close business.
- Confident, professional, and customer-focused, with excellent presentation skills.
- Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage your own diary effectively.
- Competent with estate agency CRM systems and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for appointments (business insurance required).
Desirable
- Industry qualifications (e.g., NAEA/Propertymark).
- Established reputation and local market knowledge.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday (standard office hours).
Every other Saturday on a rota, with a weekday off in lieu when Saturday is worked.
