Overview

Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment is seeking to appoint an Accounts and Operations Administrator for our client in the Swansea area. In this role, you will support operational activities, ensuring smooth communication with customers and suppliers, accurate data management, and compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. You will also provide financial administrative support to group finance, including processing sales invoicing for GAP and managing payroll.

Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting

  • Process sales invoices for GAP and plastic loads.
  • Manage purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, and payments.
  • Assist with payroll, including RTI submissions and pensions.
  • Ensure debt collection is completed within agreed timescales.
  • Support quarterly returns related to plastic exports.
  • Resolve customer invoice queries and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform ad hoc finance duties as required.

Operations & Logistics

  • Set up new jobs and communicate details to customers and suppliers.
  • Manage all administration for waste and plastic exports, including logistics coordination, NRW, PRN trading, and export paperwork.
  • Liaise with haulage providers to book exportation of goods.
  • Maintain trackers and databases with accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Generate annexes and commercial invoices to facilitate shipments.

Customer & Supplier Relations

  • Maintain effective communication channels with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Respond to queries and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all systems are kept up to date.

Person Specification / Skills & Experience

  • Experience in accounts, sales, and purchase ledger using Sage 50.
  • Knowledge of invoicing, bank reconciliation, payroll, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication skills and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to work proactively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Flexible and resilient, with a customer-oriented approach.
  • Supply chain or CFC experience is an advantage.
  • Motivation to learn new skills and contribute to team success.

Salary & Hours

  • Salary: £12.21 - £12.50 per hour
  • Hours: 8:30am to 5pm Monday to Friday
  • Location: Swansea
