Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are looking for a Yards Operator for a leading Manufacturing Client in the Llantrisant area.
Role Overview
Ensuring that the quality and all products coming in and out of site is up to the Clients standards and to the customers specification while ensuring all policy and procedures are always adhered to.
Key Accountabilities
- Operate a safe working environment in line with company policies and procedures.
- Maintaining records of personal development and training.
- Check and inspect all goods received ensuring that they are of accurate quality, specification and in acceptable condition.
- Ensure HSE and Company policies and procedures are always adhered to.
- PPE must be always worn in and out of the factory.
- Carry out any other duties as and when required by the factory manager.
- This is not an exhausted list of responsibilities and duties; the job role may vary depending on the workload.
- Loading and unloading of all deliveries.
- Place deliveries in appropriate locations.
- Checking accuracy of delivery notes against goods.
- Emptying of skips and waste factory wide.
- Keep yard clean and tidy, including leaf clearing, salt spreading, etc. during winter months.
- Log all returns from customers and to suppliers.
Skills and Abilities
- Counterbalance FLT Licence and experience.
- Strong organisational and decision‑making skills is essential.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Excellent inter‑personal skills.
- First class planning and organisational skills.
- Good presentation, written and oral communication skills.
- Must be an innovative thinker and commercially aware.
- Must be willing to develop interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be computer literate particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word and Engineering software packages for which further training will be provided.

- Mature and customer focused attitude (able to handle difficult discussions and customer complaints) is essential.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, days, you must be flexible and work weekends when required.
