Our client is the largest manufacturer in the world to buy, sell, and manage their surplus capital equipment. The company works in multiple industries including consumer packaged goods, pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, and electronics. You will be reporting to the European Business Development Manager. The Business Development Executive will possess a proven record of accomplishment of presenting to management and directors of target companies while displaying solutions and services. Experience of working within B2B business development and sales is essential with the Lab Equipment Industry.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update customer database, including prospecting and database expansion
- Identify new target contacts within assigned accounts and industry through proactive efforts
- Conduct online research, direct calling, and emailing
- Outbound calling and emailing into target contacts on different responsibility levels
- Identify key contacts within company targets
- Generate new business opportunities, from single listings to large projects and complete global programmes
- Build strong business relationships with new, potential, and existing customers
- Qualify inbound enquiries
- Liaise with senior team members to progress new leads
- Communicate directly with sales management to clearly report ongoing business development leads
- Participate in internal meetings with the global team
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in B2B sales/business development Europe wide
- Experience working towards and achieving sales targets
- ‘Hunter/prospector’ – Someone who enjoys prospecting and creating opportunities
- Ability to use external web-based platforms to identify and create relationships with key contacts
- Strong communication skills
