This is a senior payroll leadership role within a large, fast‑paced organisation undergoing continuous change. You will own end‑to‑end payroll delivery across the UK, Northern Ireland & ROI, lead a high‑performing team, and act as the key payroll authority for senior stakeholders.

  • Currently operating at Payroll Manager / Head of Payroll level
  • Proven experience in large‑scale payroll operations (5,000+ employees)
  • Irish payroll experience is essential
  • CIPP or IPASS qualified
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects & transformation
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Leadership: Own end‑to‑end payroll delivery for UK, NI & ROI, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Compliance & Governance: Manage PAYE, NIC, pensions, auto‑enrolment, BIK, PSWT, PRSI, GDPR, audits & internal controls.
  • Team Leadership: Develop, mentor, and lead a team of payroll professionals with a focus on performance and engagement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the main payroll contact for People & Culture, Finance, Retail Ops & external providers.
  • Change & Projects: Lead payroll‑related initiatives including automation, system improvements & legislative change.
  • Reporting & Insights: Deliver payroll metrics, SLA reporting and governance updates to senior leadership.
