Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced, people-focused environment? I am seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to lead the delivery of accurate, compliant payroll services.
In this NEW key role, you will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processes, provide guidance to a dedicated team, and help drive continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead payroll operations across weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles, ensuring timely and compliant processing.
- Review and validate payroll outputs, including statutory deductions (PAYE, NI, RTI, pensions), ensuring full compliance with current legislation.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex payroll queries from contractors, clients, and internal teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and liaise with external bodies such as HMRC when required.
- Provide leadership support, stepping in for the Head of Payroll as needed to maintain operational continuity.
- Strong understanding of both weekly and monthly payroll processing.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style.
- A natural leader who can mentor and support junior team members.
- Ideally CIPP qualified (or currently working towards qualification).
