Overview

Job Title: Payroll Officer

Salary: Up to £29,500 + great benefits

Working Structure: Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days home

Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly and monthly payroll runs across multiple sites
  • Ensure all payroll amendments are accurately reflected in the payroll system
  • Act as a point of contact for payroll queries from employees and hospital workforce teams
  • Perform ad-hoc payroll requests as required
  • Maintain accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of all payroll-related activities

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience in payroll within a multi-site organisation
  • Knowledge of Unit 4 payroll system is preferred (not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple payrolls simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal
  • Team player with ability to multi-task and manage a busy workload
