Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage and process a portfolio of client payrolls from start to finish, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee day-to-day workflow within the payroll team, reviewing and signing off on processed payrolls.
- Liaise with clients and HMRC, handling payroll queries and ensuring timely communication.
- Process BACS payments, HMRC RTI submissions, and manage pension auto-enrolment.
- Prepare and deliver payroll reports, summaries, and invoicing for clients.
- Support team development through training, performance reviews, and implementation of process improvements.
Required Experience:
- Over 5 years of payroll experience.
- Solid and confident background in payroll operations; experience within an accountancy practice is preferred, though substantial industry experience will also be considered.
- Proven ability to manage multiple payrolls, with knowledge of various pay types including weekly, monthly, commissions, bonuses, and ad hoc adjustments.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a payroll environment.
