The Role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator to join the payroll team based in Reading. This is a key role within the finance function, responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and delivering accurate and timely payroll services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of client payrolls, ensuring accurate end-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Administer starters, leavers, statutory payments, and adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with RTI and Auto Enrolment regulations.
  • Respond to client queries promptly and professionally, maintaining excellent relationships.
  • Support colleagues within the payroll team, contributing to a collaborative and efficient working environment.

About You

  • A minimum of 3 years' payroll experience, ideally gained within an accountancy or professional services environment.
  • Solid understanding of RTI, Auto Enrolment, and end-to-end payroll processing.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple client deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Competence in Excel and Word; experience with IRIS Payroll Professional beneficial but not essential.
  • Relevant payroll qualifications (e.g., CIPP) are advantageous, though strong hands-on experience will also be valued.
