Location: Fakenham, Norfolk (other Norfolk locations may be considered)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Salary: £30,000 – £32,000

We are looking for a confident and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join a well-established payroll team in Norfolk. You’ll play a key part in delivering a fast, accurate and confidential payroll service for a range of clients, supporting their operations and freeing them from the administrative and legal burden of payroll processing.

This is a full-time, office-based role, although there may be flexibility to base the role from another Norfolk office if required.

What You’ll Do

  • Process multiple payrolls for clients to strict deadlines, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including salary changes, pension contributions, loans, new starters and leavers
  • Handle queries and provide advice to clients on RTI submissions, auto-enrolment and other payroll-related matters
  • Prepare reports including payslips, PAYE, NIC, pensions, and other statutory returns
  • Reconcile payroll data and investigate any discrepancies
  • Produce and submit HMRC payments and pay-related documentation
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records in line with regulatory requirements
  • Occasionally support with general office administration as needed

  • Previous experience in a payroll role is essential
  • Comfortable managing multiple client payrolls and working to deadlines
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • High attention to detail and strong numerical ability
  • Good working knowledge of payroll systems and Microsoft Office
  • Proactive, reliable and well-organised
