HR & Payroll Advisor (12-Month FTC)
Pattern: Office-based initially for training, then hybrid (2 days office / 3 days home) This is a varied HR and Payroll role covering maternity leave, combining end-to-end UK payroll with generalist HR responsibilities.
You'll be the payroll lead for the UK while supporting benefits, HR administration, recruitment coordination and HR projects, working as part of a collaborative HR team.
The role would suit someone with a strong UK payroll background who also enjoys getting involved in broader HR activities.
Key
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end UK payroll, liaising with the outsourced provider for Nordic payrolls.
- Administer employee benefits, including pensions, benefits in kind, health insurance and company car/EV schemes.
- Produce payroll reports, reconciliations and payroll-related calculations using advanced Excel.
- Support recruitment administration, including job adverts, onboarding, starters and leavers, agency coordination and interview scheduling.
- Maintain HR records and systems, ensuring data accuracy and GDPR compliance.
- Support absence management, HR administration, probation processes and employee lifecycle activities.
- Assist with HR projects, audits, reporting and continuous process improvements.
- Act as the first point of contact for HR systems and payroll-related queries. Ideal Candidate:
- Strong UK end-to-end payroll experience.
- HR generalist experience, ideally including recruitment administration and employee lifecycle support.
- Excellent Excel skills are essential.
- Experience with employee benefits, pensions and benefits in kind.
- Personio and/or Moorepay experience would be advantageous.
- ER knowledge and experience within professional services would be beneficial but not essential.
- Available to start quickly with no more than one month's notice.
