We are currently partnering with a large, complex organisation undergoing continued transformation within its People Services function, and are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Services Advisor to support the delivery of a high-quality outsourced payroll service. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured, process-driven environment and enjoys working collaboratively to improve payroll operations.
The Role:
- You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and a third-party payroll provider to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery, while acting as a key point of contact for payroll queries and escalations. This role combines hands-on payroll administration with process improvement and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support outsourced payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and service quality
- Act as an escalation point for payroll-related queries, providing clear guidance
- Complete payroll reconciliations, including statutory payments and third-party deductions
- Monitor payroll submissions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Support pay cycles, pensions interfaces, and payroll-related projects
- Maintain payroll documentation, processes, and training materials
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with payroll in a HR or client-facing environment (ideally within a large organisation)
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to problem-solving
- Ability to interpret and explain payroll processes clearly to non-specialists
- Confident using Excel and general MS Office tools
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage workload independently
Desirable:
- Payroll qualification (or working towards)
- Experience with outsourced payroll models or HR/payroll systems
- Exposure to payroll reconciliation and reporting processes
