The Role
You will take responsibility for managing end-to-end payroll processes across a varied client portfolio. This includes handling different payroll frequencies and complexities, ensuring compliance with current legislation, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing payrolls from start to finish across a range of clients.
- Managing RTI submissions and year-end processes.
- Administering starters, leavers, and payroll changes.
- Supporting pension processing and auto-enrolment duties.
- Handling BACS payments.
- Liaising with clients, HMRC, and pension providers.
- Responding to payroll queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation.
- Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 2 years’ payroll experience.
- Strong working knowledge of end-to-end payroll processes.
- Experience managing multiple payrolls with varying pay frequencies (e.g. weekly, monthly, bonuses, commissions).
- Background in accountancy practice or industry payroll environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll systems (experience with Sage is advantageous).
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Strong organisational ability with the capacity to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
- A proactive team player with a high level of attention to detail.
