An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced International Payroll Lead to take ownership of payroll operations across 13 countries in Europe and APAC, covering approximately 1,150 employees. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing outsourced payroll providers while driving governance, compliance, systems improvements and payroll transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of outsourced payrolls across 13 international locations, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely processing.
- Manage and develop a small payroll team, providing coaching and technical support.
- Act as the key contact for payroll vendors, Finance, HR and Compliance teams across multiple countries.
- Oversee payroll controls, pensions, GL reporting, reconciliations and audit requirements.
- Support payroll systems, HRIS integrations, testing and continuous improvement projects.
- Produce payroll reporting and management information while driving process improvements across the payroll function.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience managing international outsourced payrolls across multiple countries.
- Previous payroll leadership or team management experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, governance, controls and compliance.
- Experience working with multiple payroll vendors and external providers.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and data analysis).
- Experience supporting payroll systems, HRIS integrations and transformation projects.
- Confident managing senior stakeholders and complex payroll issues.
- CIPP qualified (or equivalent) preferred.
