An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Audit Senior / Semi-Senior to join a growing and supportive accountancy practice. This is a varied role, with approximately 80% audit and 20% accounts, offering exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries. You'll work closely with the Audit Manager while taking ownership of audits from planning through to completion, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career within practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and complete audits from planning through to completion.
  • Lead audit assignments with minimal supervision, ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Supervise audit fieldwork and support junior team members where required.
  • Prepare statutory accounts for audit-exempt companies, partnerships, and LLPs.
  • Prepare draft corporation tax computations.
  • Draft management recommendations following audit completion.
  • Manage client relationships and provide a high level of professional service.
  • Work across a broad range of sectors including construction, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, travel, pharmaceutical, pensions, and financial services.

About You

  • Previous experience managing audits from planning through to completion is essential.
  • Currently part-qualified (ACA or ACCA) or qualified by experience.
  • Experience working within a mid-sized accountancy practice is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounts preparation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills.
  • Able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
