A well-established and highly respected South West accountancy practice is looking for a Payroll Assistant to join its growing payroll team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with payroll experience who enjoys working with multiple clients, building strong relationships, and developing their payroll knowledge within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payrolls accurately and on time for a varied client portfolio
- Input, validate and maintain payroll data including starters, leavers, salary changes, pensions and deductions
- Calculate payroll deductions, PAYE, National Insurance and pension contributions
- Investigate and resolve payroll queries and discrepancies
- Produce payroll reports, payslips and HMRC payment information
- Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation and payroll regulations
- Manage employee payroll records and maintain accurate documentation
- Support payroll billing processes alongside Partners and Directors
- Deliver excellent customer service to both clients and employees
