Job Title: HR Business Partner
Location: Southampton/Hybrid – Adhoc Travel
Contract: 12m FTC
JGA are partnered with a leading global business, seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join their HR team on a 12m FTC maternity cover.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver local departmental strategies for employee relations and development.
- Plan and execute projects.
- Support organisational development activities.
- Coach managers on change delivery (e.g., restructures, consultations).
- Review and update working agreements and contracts.
- Identify learning interventions for employees and managers.
- Manage employee relations casework (e.g., absence, disciplinaries, grievances).
- Monitor and review sickness cases with Line Managers.
- Administer exit questionnaires and interviews.
- Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives.
- Review job descriptions and support recruitment processes.
- Participate in interviews and administer tests.
- Prepare offer documentation and deliver inductions.
- Identify skill gaps and development needs with line managers.
- Maintain accurate HR systems and files.
- Provide HR advice and coaching to ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain strong relationships with business units, Union Representatives, and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address HR challenges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources /CIPD Level 7, or demonstratable experience
- Proven work experience as a strategically focussed HR Business Partner.
- Experience and proficiency working with HR Systems and data.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing HR strategies and initiatives that drive organisational growth and effectiveness.
- An analytical and proactive mindset, with the ability to leverage HR metrics and data to drive insights and influence decision-making.
- Attention to detail and organisational skills, with experience managing changing priorities and ambiguity.
- In depth understanding and experience effectively managing complex ER cases to resolution.
- Experience working across the full employee lifecycle.
- A full UK driving licence
- Eligibility to work in the UK
