The Role
As Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll for a large employee population. This role requires someone who is hands‐on, detail‐oriented, and comfortable managing the full payroll lifecycle.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing end-to-end payroll processing for 500+ employees
- Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and within strict deadlines
- Handling payroll queries from employees and internal stakeholders
- Processing statutory payments, deductions, and pension contributions
- Supporting payroll reconciliations and reporting activities
- Assisting with payroll compliance and ensuring adherence to current legislation
- Processing BACS payments where applicable
- Supporting continuous improvements within payroll processes and systems
About You
- Proven experience independently processing payroll for 500+ employees
- Strong end-to-end payroll experience (essential)
- Experience processing BACS payments (advantageous)
- A background working within smaller or medium-sized payroll teams where you have managed the full payroll cycle
- Strong technical payroll knowledge and excellent attention to detail
- A proactive, ambitious, and reliable approach
- The confidence to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment
