The Role
You will oversee the delivery of payroll services across a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high service standards. Alongside operational responsibilities, you will support team development and contribute to the growth of payroll services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day payroll operations across a varied client portfolio
- Oversee weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll processing
- Review payroll data to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to submission
- Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery
- Support business development initiatives and promote payroll services internally and externally
- Stay up to date with payroll legislation and industry developments, sharing insights with clients and colleagues
- Support, mentor, and review the work of junior team members
- Contribute to team management activities including performance reviews and workflow oversight
About You
- Strong payroll experience within a bureau or client-facing environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple payrolls and deadlines
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience supporting or supervising junior team members
- Commercial awareness and ability to identify growth opportunities
