This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing HR function in a true generalist HR Advisor role. You will support, advise and guide employees, managers and stakeholders on all aspects of people management, acting as a trusted advisor while supporting the wider people strategy and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across the business.
- Provide advice and guidance to employees, Managers and senior stakeholders on all people-related matters.
- Manage a wide range of HR queries and employee relations cases.
- Support and update senior HR colleagues on employee relations issues.
- Deliver pragmatic, commercially focused HR solutions in line with policies and procedures.
- Support positive business performance through effective people management.
- Review, update and implement HR policies in line with current employment legislation.
- Support processes including family-friendly policies, flexible working, welfare and absence management.
- Maintain accurate employee records within the HR system.
- Coach and support junior members of the HR team.
- Collaborate with wider People teams including Recruitment and Learning & Development.
- Support organisational change initiatives including restructures and cultural change programmes.
Skills, Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience supporting disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Strong knowledge of current UK employment legislation.
- Confidence advising Managers and senior stakeholders on best practice.
- Experience contributing to HR projects.
- Previous experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong judgement, problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Calm, professional and resilient approach when handling sensitive issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- High levels of integrity, discretion and approachability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years' generalist HR experience at Advisor level or above.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commercially aware with the ability to balance risk and business needs.
- Passionate about promoting a positive, professional people function.
