The Opportunity

JGA are partnering with a leading payroll training and advisory organisation seeking an experienced Payroll Tutor to join their team. This is a unique opportunity for a senior payroll professional who enjoys sharing knowledge, developing others, and staying at the forefront of payroll legislation. You'll combine your payroll expertise with training, content creation, research, and industry engagement, helping to educate the next generation of payroll professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Tutor and support a cohort of payroll students through their learning journey
  • Deliver engaging payroll training sessions, workshops, and client updates
  • Research and interpret payroll legislation and industry developments
  • Update and maintain course materials and training content
  • Produce payroll newsletters, articles, blogs, and learning resources
  • Present webinars and industry update sessions
  • Support payroll professionals with technical payroll queries
  • Perform and explain manual payroll calculations
  • Contribute to the development of training programmes and educational resources
  • Act as an ambassador for payroll education and best practice

About You

  • 12+ years of payroll experience, ideally operating at Payroll Manager level or above
  • Current hands-on payroll processing experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements
  • Confident performing manual payroll calculations
  • Comfortable presenting to groups and delivering training sessions
  • Strong written communication skills with experience creating newsletters, guides, or technical content
  • Outgoing and engaging personality with the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Passion for developing others and sharing payroll knowledge
  • Comfortable travelling throughout the UK during the busy training season
