As part of our ongoing expansion, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator with strong Sage 50 Payroll expertise to join our dedicated finance team. In this key role, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintain compliance with regulations, and provide excellent support to employees across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently using Sage 50 Payroll, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on schedule
- Maintain and update payroll records, safeguarding the accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Ensure compliance with relevant payroll legislation, including tax, National Insurance, and benefit deductions
- Respond promptly and professionally to employee payroll queries
- Produce and analyse payroll reports and summaries for management review
- Support payroll-related elements of employee onboarding and offboarding
- Work closely with HR and management teams to ensure seamless payroll operations and data integrity
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in a payroll-focused role, with proven proficiency in Sage 50 Payroll
- Solid understanding of UK payroll regulations, compliance, and best practices
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in numerical and data-related tasks
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of discretion and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- A qualification or degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline is advantageous
