We are currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Senior to join a payroll team based in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional with bureau or accountancy practice experience who enjoys managing a varied client portfolio and working within a fast-paced environment.
The business offers a hybrid working model following probation, with a collaborative team culture and opportunities for ongoing development.
Key Responsibilities:- Processing weekly and monthly payrolls for a varied client portfolio
- Maintaining accurate employee payroll records and ensuring excellent client service
- Liaising with HMRC regarding payroll queries and resolutions
- Preparing year-end payroll routines and returns
- Managing Auto Enrolment and statutory submissions in line with deadlines
- Processing CIS returns and related submissions
- Uploading payroll payments via BACS
- Supporting wider payroll team activities and providing cover where required
- Building strong working relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders
- Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ payroll processing experience
- Previous bureau or accountancy practice payroll experience preferred
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, RTI, statutory payments, and Auto Enrolment
- Experience managing multiple payrolls and working to strict deadlines
- Confident carrying out manual payroll calculations where required
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office
