JGA are delighted to be partnering with a market-leading international organisation to recruit a Payroll Administrator for their European Head Office based in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established payroll team supporting over 3,500 employees across the UK and Europe. Working within a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you'll play a key role in delivering an accurate, compliant, and timely payroll service across multiple brands.
The Role
Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you'll support the end-to-end payroll process while working closely with HR, Finance, and key stakeholders to ensure payroll is delivered accurately each month.
Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll changes, including starters, leavers, contractual amendments, and employee updates.
- Maintain payroll and time & attendance records.
- Prepare payroll journals, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Support pension administration, including auto-enrolment and opt-outs.
- Process statutory payments, including SSP, SMP, SAP, and SPP.
- Liaise with HMRC and ensure payroll compliance.
- Work closely with HR to support payroll and benefits administration.
- Resolve payroll queries efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.
- Support payroll projects and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure payroll controls, audit requirements, and service level agreements are consistently achieved.
About You:
- Previous UK payroll processing experience.
- Strong knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, and statutory payments.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong data entry skills.
- Experience working to strict payroll deadlines in a busy environment.
- Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for improving payroll processes.
- Experience using time & attendance systems would be advantageous.
