An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing payroll bureau team as a Payroll Administrator. This is a fantastic role for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing high volumes of payroll data accurately and to strict deadlines.
  • Ensuring compliance with security, confidentiality, and internal processes.
  • Calculating net pay and producing payroll outputs in line with HMRC regulations.
  • Submitting RTI returns (FPS, EPS, P45, P46).
  • Producing month-end and year-end payroll reports.
  • Liaising with HMRC, DWP, pension providers, and other external bodies.
  • Supporting auto-enrolment processes and maintaining pension compliance.
  • Managing HMRC downloads including tax codes and student loan notices.
  • Maintaining accurate payroll records.
  • Demonstrating awareness of CIS requirements and deadlines.

About You

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within a payroll bureau environment.
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a deadline-driven role.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy.
  • Confident communicator with a strong client-service mindset.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
