This is an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Administrator to join a collaborative and supportive payroll team, gaining exposure to a varied client base while managing payrolls end-to-end.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of your own client payroll portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely processing while supporting senior team members where required. This is a hands-on role offering strong development opportunities within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payrolls for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Handle PAYE/NIC calculations and BACS payments
- Manage payroll queries from clients and internal stakeholders
- Liaise with HMRC regarding PAYE matters
- Support the setup of new PAYE schemes and payroll systems
- Maintain accurate records and workflow updates within payroll systems
- Assist with process improvements and ad hoc payroll tasks
About You
- Minimum 2 years’ payroll experience, ideally within an accountancy or bureau environment
- Strong understanding of auto-enrolment and payroll legislation
- Confident in manual payroll calculations (PAYE/NIC)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Excellent communication and Excel skills
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g. Paycircle) is advantageous
