An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced payroll professional to step into a team management role within a growing and client-focused environment. This position offers a strong mix of hands-on payroll delivery, team leadership, and client interaction.
The Role
- Lead the delivery of payroll services across a varied client portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high service standards.
- Alongside managing day-to-day operations, you will support, mentor, and develop a team while contributing to the overall efficiency and growth of the payroll function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day payroll operations across a diverse client base
- Oversee weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll cycles
- Review payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance prior to submission
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance service delivery
- Stay up to date with payroll legislation and share insights with the team and clients
- Support, mentor, and develop junior team members, including reviewing work
- Assist with workload planning, performance management, and team coordination
About You
- Strong payroll experience within a bureau or client-facing environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple payrolls and deadlines
- Previous experience leading or supervising a payroll team
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
