The Role
As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll play a key part in delivering accurate and compliant payroll services for colleagues across the UK. Working within a supportive and knowledgeable team, you will ensure payroll is processed on time and in line with company policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end processing of monthly payroll for high volume employees.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and internal payroll regulations.
- Supporting employees with payroll queries via phone and email within agreed service levels.
- Managing starters, leavers, salary changes, and data updates.
- Administering statutory payments, deductions, and payroll taxes.
- Preparing and submitting electronic payments (BACS) to employees, HMRC, and third parties.
- Completing monthly and annual payroll reporting, reconciliations, and submissions.
- Supporting payroll year-end and start-of-year processes, including system testing.
- Managing payrolled benefits and ensuring accurate taxation.
- Keeping up to date with changes in payroll legislation and best practice.
