Location: East Midlands (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote)

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum

The Role

As a Payroll Specialist, you’ll play a key part in delivering accurate and compliant payroll services for colleagues across the UK. Working within a supportive and knowledgeable team, you will ensure payroll is processed on time and in line with company policies and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end processing of monthly payroll for high volume employees.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and internal payroll regulations.
  • Supporting employees with payroll queries via phone and email within agreed service levels.
  • Managing starters, leavers, salary changes, and data updates.
  • Administering statutory payments, deductions, and payroll taxes.
  • Preparing and submitting electronic payments (BACS) to employees, HMRC, and third parties.
  • Completing monthly and annual payroll reporting, reconciliations, and submissions.
  • Supporting payroll year-end and start-of-year processes, including system testing.
  • Managing payrolled benefits and ensuring accurate taxation.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in payroll legislation and best practice.
