We are looking to recruit confident and enthusiastic Retail Sales Assistants to represent our company at our Basingstoke store. You will report to the Store Manager and your main duties will include providing fast, efficient, pleasant and unrivalled customer service. As a Retail Sales Assistant at Grape Tree you must ensure that the store is well‑stocked, clean and tidy and that customers leave with a lasting impression that encourages repeat visits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate the till in accordance with company instructions and as directed by the manager.
- Provide the highest possible standard of customer service.
- Ensure that the shelves are well‑filled/stocked and faced up at all times.
- Assist with the maintenance of high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety throughout the store.
- Observe company rules at all times and report any breach of company rules witnessed.
- Co‑operate with all colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the store.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to provide excellent customer service, ideally with experience in food retail.
- Good cash handling skills.
- Organised and practical, willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
- Experience as a Retail Assistant, Food Retail, Supermarket, Store Assistant, Customer Service, Convenience Store or Sales Assistant is desirable.
