Established in 2012, Grape Tree currently has 195 stores in the United Kingdom. We are looking to recruit an ambitious, confident and enthusiastic Retail Store Manager for our HORSHAM store. You will report to the Retail Operations Manager and oversee daily activities to provide fast, efficient, pleasant and unrivalled customer service. Ensure the store is well-stocked, clean and tidy and that customers leave with a lasting positive impression.
Responsibilities
- Strong understanding of stock control, including ordering goods, handling deliveries and managing cash accounts.
- Hands-on management of all store activities.
- Operate the till in accordance with company instructions.
- Provide the highest possible standard of customer service.
- Ensure shelves are well-filled, stocked and faced at all times.
- Maintain correct pricing, stock rotation and remove any goods exceeding the use-by date; advise management of best-before issues.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety throughout the store.
- Observe company rules at all times and report any breaches.
- Ensure that all staff fully cooperate to ensure the smooth running of the store.
- Store trades Monday to Sunday; must be flexible to work within these hours.
Skills and Experience
- Excellent customer service skills, ideally with experience in food retail.
- Good cash handling skills.
- Excellent staff supervision and organisational skills.
- Organised, practical and ready to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.
- Previous experience as a Retail Store Supervisor or Manager in food retail, supermarket, customer service or convenience store settings.
- Ability to hit and exceed sales targets and bring ideas for sales and promotions.
