This leading visionary structural engineering practice, well known for their creative schemes, is seeking to appoint a high-level Associate to work alongside their Head of Design. Currently, their head of design focuses on architecturally led design projects that have allowed the practice to escalate its work internationally as well as its reputation in the UK, having joined them from a signature Architectural practice.
Their current schemes include a complex engineering design of footbridges for the Wellcome Trust, as well as recently being awarded a new stadium internationally. Ideally, our client is keen to appoint an Associate-level Structural Engineer, with some flexibility where experience and capability align. You will be technically exceptional, with a proven track record on large-scale and/or technically complex projects and demonstrable experience in a leading engineering design project role.
Additionally, a strong background in coordinating closely with high-calibre, design-led architects, delivering ambitious designs to a high standard and possessing excellent interpersonal skills is essential. Experience of UK design standards is crucial, together with:
- Existing relationships with clients, project managers, or senior architects within well-known practices would be a bonus, particularly where these may support work-winning activity.
- International project experience desirable.
- Experience working on the design of towers/high-rise projects in the UK or internationally.
- Additional experience within seismic design, parametric design tools, and computational/digital design workflows would be excellent.
- Some exposure to working on the design of sports stadia/large entertainment venues would be hugely beneficial.
