This well-respected multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong presence in the structural engineering market is looking to further strengthen their offering in Leeds, a region they have worked in for many years. They are currently seeking an Associate who embraces technical challenges with the ability to see beyond these and be a positive force in the office and wider business.
They seek an individual who sees the value and potential in people and who is prepared to nurture individuals to bring out their very best. Our client has built a strong team in Leeds and their success is down to the people they’ve engaged and developed. They’ve grown sustainably and continue to deliver some of the smallest (£1bn) schemes in the region for new and existing clients in a variety of sectors such as:

You will be responsible for managing and developing a team of up to 8 people. You will lead that team in the delivery of a portfolio of projects. You will be responsible for people management (colleagues and clients where appropriate), financial management, quality and project management within your team.
You will contribute towards developing and delivering their business strategies in the Leeds office, and where appropriate the wider business, driving innovation and best practice. You will also have the opportunity to engage in Business Development, through the development of a network of clients and partners.
You will ideally have experience leading and managing multi-disciplinary design projects, including developing design delivery programmes with an understanding of and involvement in project finances. You will be a competent leader who thrives in client meetings, contributing effectively and working collaboratively with their clients, partners and the wider project team to develop viable, sustainable and cost-effective design solutions.
Working within a highly respected team on a wide range of high-profile, technically demanding and award-winning building and urban regeneration projects in Leeds and Yorkshire. Currently, their live commissions include the £1bn Tetley Brewery redevelopment, the hugely successful Wellington Place masterplan for MEPC and the development of Dyecoats on Kirkstall Road for Clarion Housing, as well as many other high-profile mixed-use city centre developments. They also work for a number of local healthcare Trusts, including the £1bn Securing the Future Programme at Airedale Hospital near Skipton.
You’ll be a Chartered Engineer with experience of leading a team of engineers and technicians in the delivery of a wide range of projects and have the ability to inspire a team to develop to their full potential. Additionally, you should be able to convey your ideas and solutions clearly and concisely to project teams and clients and always be seeking new opportunities for the business and your team.
