Overview
Hackensack Meridian Health nurses care for patients and their families at every stage of life, 24 hours a day, in a network of hospitals and care facilities across New Jersey. This role is part of our inpatient oncology unit, where nurses deliver high‐quality, evidence‐based care to a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing practices in accordance with evidence‐based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to provide safe and excellent individualized patient‐centered care.
- Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues, and other health‐care team members regarding patient status, rendered care, and treatment plans.
- Ensure optimal patient/guest satisfaction and care experience according to Hackensack Meridian Health standards.
- Administer medications utilizing the latest clinical documentation technology to ensure safe delivery of medications.
- Provide patient and family‐centered care focused on optimizing health, wellness, and disease management.
- Collaborate interdisciplinarily in managing the patient's plan of care and goals from admission to discharge to ensure a safe transition and continuum of care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid New Jersey Registered Professional Nurse license.
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification.
- BSN strongly preferred or must be obtained within 3 years.
- Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience or active participation in the Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency Program.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and demonstrate a strong sense of accountability, teamwork, and patient focus.
Compensation
Minimum rate: $44.24 per hour. Pay rates are based on market data, experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, internal equity, and budget considerations. HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
