The Certified Recreation Therapist provides clinical services to clients including assessments, treatment planning, recreational/adjunctive therapy, individual and therapeutic patient groups.
Responsibilities
- Client Satisfaction: Promotes a positive client experience, participates in a wellness and recovery model, encourages client feedback.
- Documentation-Initial Assessment: Complete initial assessment in an accurate and timely procedure within program policies and procedures.
- Documentation-Progress Notes: Complete progress notes in an accurate and timely procedure within program policies and procedures.
- Treatment Plan: Develops an individualized, measurable treatment plan using Recreational assessment; completes and reviews within program policies and procedures.
- Initial Assessment: Conducts a comprehensive assessment demonstrating clinical competence.
- Performance Improvement: Participates in Performance Improvement processes within the department.
- Professional Enhancement: Maintains knowledge of current issues in the field and shares information from conferences, articles and trainings.
- Clinical Competencies: Demonstrates competency in group and individual clinical treatments.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- High School diploma, GED, or GED equivalent programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite).
Licenses And Certifications Required
- Professional certification as Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or eligible for CTRS certification with a passing score on the NCTRC exam.
Licenses And Certifications Preferred
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Compensation
Starting at $47,511.36 Annually. The posted rate of pay is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting and may reflect a portion of total rewards; it does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive package.
