Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate and current information for each patient on assigned unit(s).
- Demonstrates knowledge of modified diets and related restrictions, reports patient understanding to the Dietitian / Diet Technician.
- Assists Dietitian with monitoring patients who are NPO, on liquid diets, or need intake recorded.
- Adapts to physician‑ordered modified patient diets and ensures efficient timing of services by providing quality patient customer service.
- Assists patients with menu selections and works hand‑in‑hand with the Food and Nutrition Department to assemble selected meals on trays and with delivery and pick‑up of meal trays.
- Communicates any patient/resident related problems to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Customer service skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of patients and caregivers.

Compensation
Minimum rate of $17.38 hourly.
