A rare opportunity to enter a Middle Office Operations role offering responsibilities supporting both back and front office stakeholders and developing new skills and qualifications in these areas. This newly created role is designed to link the Operations and Investment Teams within this boutique Wealth Management environment.

This position focuses on reliable, accurate, and timely operational assistance from managing failed trades; checking trade confirmations; dealing with Custodians in executing FX transactions through to providing compliance documentation and support to the Investment Management team where required.

The Trade Support Assistant is a junior full-time hybrid role based in London, with the flexibility to work from home part of the week. This position reports to the Head of Operations who is seeking a self-starter who understands systems and applications and who is very IT literate. Opportunity to offer solutions and ideas, using new technology, to develop more away from manual tasks.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge and take ownership of issues and prioritise tasks.
  • Clear, professional communication skills for verbal interactions with clients, colleagues and service providers.
  • Suitable candidate will ideally be at early start of their career with approx 2 years+ working within financial services, ideally within a wealth/investment management operational environment.
  • Will need to demonstrate previous practical experience using AI tools with strong IT/tech skills in order to help improve workflows and systems from manual - so an excellent understanding of technology to oversee this broad role.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills for handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, Microsoft and trading/operations platforms) and the ability to learn new systems/skills.
  • Prior experience in trade support, operations, investment desk support would be beneficial in this role.
  • Ideally should be qualified or working towards an IMC / IOC certification (or similar) and committed to advancing/studying further in other appropriate investment qualifications as opportunity to develop further in the future into a more front office investment role.
