Working within a boutique Investment Firm, this junior opportunity offers responsibilities supporting both back and front office stakeholders. This newly created role is designed to link the Operations and Investment Teams within this boutique Wealth Management environment. Reporting into the Head of Operations, the role involves supporting the investment team by inputting transactions, chasing brokers for confirmations, and managing FX requirements.

This position focuses on reliable, accurate, and timely operational assistance, including managing failed trades, checking trade confirmations, dealing with Custodians in executing FX transactions, and providing compliance documentation and support to the Investment Management team where required.

This Operations/Trade Support Assistant is a junior full-time hybrid role based in the City of London and would suit a self-starter who understands operations systems and applications, with additional skills in technology. There is an opportunity to offer solutions and ideas using new technology and AI to improve current workflows.

Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge and take ownership of issues and prioritise tasks.
  • Clear, professional communication skills for verbal interactions with clients, colleagues, and service providers.
  • Suitable candidates may already be working within a supportive role in a wealth/investment management environment and looking for a more varied role.
  • Demonstrated practical experience using AI tools with strong IT/tech skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills for handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, Microsoft and trading/operations platforms) and the ability to learn new systems/skills.
  • Prior experience in back-office/trade/investment support role, ideally within the investment/wealth management industry, with an understanding of settlement and reconciliation requirements.
  • Ideally, candidates should be qualified or working towards an IMC/IOC certification (or similar) and interested in advancing further in other appropriate investment qualifications.
