The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing long‑term relationships with a defined portfolio of strategic clients. Working closely with internal teams, the role focuses on understanding client needs, maintaining high levels of satisfaction, and supporting sustainable revenue growth.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work with the Head of Product Line (HoPL) to ensure communication with key accounts is clear and concise.
  • Develop and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with key accounts supporting the HoPL.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients as agreed with HoPL, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to grow business within key accounts through upselling, cross‑selling, and solution development.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions and proactively resolve client issues or risks.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on customer performance metrics to management.
  • Propose contracts and agreements that aim to maximise value for both the client and the company.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all account interactions, agreements, and activities.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and client developments to anticipate needs and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements, while sharing best practice across the Key Account Management team.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in key account management or a similar client‑facing role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective customer engagement, negotiation and internal reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple high‑value client relationships simultaneously with confidence and professionalism.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with well‑developed problem‑solving and commercial awareness.
  • High level of organisation with strong record‑keeping and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in business systems such as CRM and ERP platforms (experience with JFD systems desirable).
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams; relevant sales or account management certifications are advantageous.
