This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fastâpaced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service to our Clients at the National Hyperbaric Centre (NHC). As a key member of the Commercial Diving & Hyperbaric team, the Life Support Supervisor plays a critical role. You will be responsible for leading and carrying out all Hyperbaric Operations at the NHC, ensuring they are delivered safely and effectively. In this key role, you will also manage the provision of NHS support and help maintain the operational and safety standards required across our facility.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead all NHS hyperbaric treatments and take overall responsibility for patients and divers during treatment.
- Ensure assets and equipment are prepared, maintained, and operational.
- Conduct chamber operations and related facility activities in a professional and timely manner.
- Regularly review and update chamber procedures and manuals to ensure accuracy and suitability.
- Support emergency mobilisation and ongoing maintenance of the Portable Hyperbaric Reception Facility.
- Act as a subject matter expert for pressure testing and SPHL mating trials at the National Hyperbaric Centre.
- Manage gas supply inventory, including ordering and invoicing, and assist the Training Department in delivering hyperbaric training courses.
- Participate in the 24/7 emergency onâcall rota, typically every 2â3 weeks.
What we're looking for:
- IMCAâqualified Life Support Supervisor, demonstrating the technical competence and professional accreditation necessary for this safetyâcritical role.
- Inâdepth understanding of Diving Industry regulations, standards, and associated equipment, ensuring safe and compliant hyperbaric operations.
- Ability to effectively transfer knowledge, mentor others, and support delivery of training courses, contributing to the development and capability of the wider team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in working MS Software applications.
