Job Description
International Timber, the UK’s leading importer and distributor of bespoke, sustainable timber and panel product, are looking for an experienced Timber Mill Machinist to join the team in our busy Grangemouth site.
Established in 1970 we have over 50 years’ experience within the timber industry. We supply a variety of woods to merchants and other small businesses around the UK and our team can also design special bespoke profiles tailored to our customers individual needs.

Rotating Weekly Shifts:
Mon-Thurs 6am-2pm & Fri 6am-1pm
Mon-Thurs 2pm-10pm & Fri 1pm-8pm
39 hours per week – overtime available
Location: International Timber, Earls Rd, Grangemouth FK3 8UU
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out timber milling to customer specifications – able to understand measurements and customer requirements
- Ability to complete and maintain all documentation associated and required by the role
- Work towards deadlines and KPIs for order processing
- Ability to work as a team player within the timber processing plant and overall site operation
- Awareness and understanding of health and safety standards applicable to machinery or mechanical handling equipment
- Awareness and understanding of health and safety standards applicable to working in a timber processing plant and timber storage and distribution site
Essential Skills and Experience
- MUST HAVE: Level 3 NVQ in Wood Machining or the relevant in-house training
- MUST HAVE: experience in a similar timber production environment
- Good attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work accordingly
- Confident working in a busy and fast paced production environment
- A strong health and safety awareness
