This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll lead from the front, supporting the Branch Manager in the day-to-day running of the branch. You'll be actively involved in warehouse and yard operations, including the safe operation of forklift equipment (training and certification can be provided), while motivating the team and delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as first line support to the Branch Manager to lead and support the team to deliver success.
  • Get to know our product lines and services to make the most of all customer interactions.
  • Develop great relationships with new and existing customers (both face-to-face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions to deliver the best experience possible.
  • Get to know the local market to support plans for sales growth.
  • Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey.
  • Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts.
  • Lead your team to make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Proven background in Sales with a strong track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication to be able to provide great customer service.
  • A passion for customer service.
  • An ability to build, develop and maintain relationships.
  • Industry experience / knowledge of building materials would be advantageous.
