Jewson Partnership Solutions (JPS) is a specialist supplier of construction materials to the public sector, and we are seeking a Business Development / Sales Manager to expand our presence in the South West region of England.

Location

Field based and remote covering the South West region, from Oxford to Portsmouth, Bristol and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse public sector organisations in the designated area, understanding existing contract structures and uncovering new business opportunities.
  • Identify and engage decision makers to build strong relationships at all levels within client organisations.
  • Collaborate with the bid and estimating team during the tender process, leading or supporting bids with a solutions‑focused approach.
  • Develop and deliver customer social‑value plans as required by contract.
  • Assist the JPS Implementation Manager with mobilisation, re‑mobilisation and demobilisation of new contracts.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the public sector market preferred, with a clear understanding of influencing factors.
  • Proven success in large customer‑facing roles, building relationships from operative to director levels.
  • Result‑oriented with strong financial and commercial acumen.
  • Problem‑solving mindset and a ‘customer first’ ethos.
  • IT literate – proficiency in CRMs and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • A full driving licence is required.
