Partnership Account Manager

Are you based and able to travel across the West Midlands? Do you have experience working in large customer facing roles? Jewson Supply Partnerships (JPS) is a brand within Stark UK which specialises in providing solutions for our customers in the Public Sector such as Housing Associations and Local Authorities.

We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen for a partnership account manager to oversee a portfolio of managed stores contracts with Housing Associations / local authorities covering the West Midlands region and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for a portfolio of Public Sector contracts within the West Midlands which includes large contracts in Cannock, Dudley, Birmingham, Walsall and Staffordshire, which involves supporting the contracts and the delivery of profitable growth, through supporting the delivery of the JPS strategy to ensure that all customers have a great experience.

The role consists of working with all functions including the Jewson branch network and predominately the JPS stores network in the West Midlands to develop and leverage the scale of the business, and identifying opportunities to realign capabilities and behaviours in order to meet customer and business needs.

As a Partnership Account Manager with Jewson Supply Partnerships, you will have:

  • Experience gained in the Public Sector market preferred, and a clear understanding of its influencing factors
  • Proven experience of working in large customer-facing roles, with an ability to build strong relationships – from operative through to Director levels
  • Ability to work across functions with a proven track record of delivery through a collaborative approach
  • Excellent written and spoken communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills – ‘ability to make things happen’
  • Proven track record of retention, sales and margin growth, and ability to turn analysis into profit
  • Results orientated with good commercial acumen with attention to detail skills and experience of excel spreadsheets is essential
  • Proven ability to build sustainable processes across a multi-site business
  • Problem solving ability with a ‘Customer First’ ethos
  • Understanding of CRM systems would be an advantage.

  • Able to develop and maintain strong relationships at all levels within the customer’s organisation
  • Able to build strong relationships with suppliers, in order to maximise contract support, develop and enhance product knowledge and be appraised of new/innovative products
  • Build effective relationships across Jewson and the JPS stores network to ensure service levels for existing customers are continuously met, and opportunities for growth are uncovered, with the aim of delivering an exceptional customer experience and market growth, whilst providing insights into customer behaviours resulting in the identification of value adding product and service opportunities
  • Assist and support the creation and maintaining of new business pipelines within your designated area working with the JPS business development and solutions team.
