As a Tool Hire Assistant at Jewson, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive safe, well‑maintained equipment and excellent service. As part of the role, you will be required to drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver and collect customer orders, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
Hours Of Work
This is a full‑time role working Monday‑Friday 07:30‑17:00, and every other Saturday from 08:00‑12:00.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver day‑to‑day tool hire activities, deploying resources to ensure efficient, effective and safe operations.
- Lead by example in developing strong relationships through regular customer interaction, supporting the team to maximise growth through pro‑active cross‑selling.
- Provide guidance and constructive feedback to team members, assisting in their development and supporting them to deliver a high‑quality customer experience.
- Deliver and collect customer orders in a timely manner, ensuring orders are accurate and all equipment is secured and loaded/off‑loaded safely in accordance with company procedures.
- Support branch colleagues in building knowledge and competence in tool hire product.
- Ensure tool hire standards are always maintained.
- Ensure inventory and availability levels are appropriate to meet customer needs, collaborating across the local network.
